Class of 2023 wide receiver Zachariah Branch of Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman is down to four schools- USC, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Alabama.

The 5-foot-9, 170 pounder is ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the On3 Consensus Rankings, a complete and  equally weighted industry-generated average. Branch is ranked No. 16 nationally, and the top player in Nevada.

“All of these schools made my Top 4 because they all have built a genuine relationship with me throughout this process,” Branch said. “All four can help me reach my goal of not only making it to the NFL, but staying.”

USC

“I loved Coach (Lincoln) Riley and the Oklahoma staff while they were at Oklahoma,” Branch said. “With them making the move to USC, it made a huge impact on my recruitment.”

Ohio State

“Coach (Brian) Hartline and the Buckeyes made an impression on me early just by the production of their wide receivers,” Branch said. “Not only that, but with me getting up on campus and building that relationship with Coach Hart(line) it is going to be a very hard decision because of the relationship we have built already.”

Oklahoma

“Oklahoma and Demarco Murray are just great,” Branch said. “Him being from Vegas and being a Gorman Alum is huge. Me and him have connected on so many levels, and I will never lose that connection I have built with him.”

Alabama

“Coach (Holman) Wiggins is straight up and he will keep it real with me,” Branch said. “They have a history of producing wide receivers as well, and he is a great man along with a great coach.”

Scouting Zachariah Branch

“One of the more dynamic receiver prospects in the nation, regardless of class,” Charles Power said. “Built like a traditional slot wide receiver at 5-foot-9, 170 pounds.”

“An elite track athlete with a 10.33 second 100 meter mark and a 24 foot long jump as a sophomore.”

“Is able to harness that speed on the football field with his high-end change of direction. Creates big plays as a deep threat and after the catch. Very difficult for defenders to tackle in space. A fluid mover with route-running and true wide receiver skills in addition to the considerable athleticism. Shows good ball skills with the ability to track and make extended catches in traffic.”
