One of the top available players in the NCAA transfer portal is former Washington cornerback Thaddeus Dixon. Just one day after his name has been inserted, Dixon is already down to four schools. He told On3’s Hayes Fawcett that Michigan, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Ole Miss are still fighting for his services.

Dixon did add one other nugget, not completely ruling out a return to Washington. Head coach Jedd Fisch would love to get one of college football’s top DBs back to Seattle.

Per the On3 Transfer Portal Industry Rankings, Dixon is the No. 14 overall player to enter this cycle. Nobody is ranked higher when looking specifically at cornerbacks, though, coming in at No. 1. It’s no surprise programs of this magnitude are attempting to sign Dixon for their 2025 rosters.

Dixon has spent the last two seasons with Washington, including the national championship run in 2023. He has played a total of 26 games with the Huskies, recording 66 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, 18 PBUs, and forcing a fumble.

This year is when Dixon really stepped into a starting role, being first on the field in all but one game — Washington’s bowl game vs. Louisville.

Dixon was a JUCO product, coming out of Long Beach City College as a three-star prospect. He was the No. 27 overall recruit in the 2023 JUCO cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Washington loses EDGE to NCAA transfer portal

Washington EDGE Jayden Wayne is back in the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. Wayne is in the portal once again after starting his career at Miami.

This past season with the Huskies the former top-100 recruit appeared in 10 games, finishing the year with six tackles and a pass breakup.

Prior to coming to Washington, Jayden Wayne was a contributor for Miami as a true freshman. He appeared in eight games, making one start, and finished the year with 13 tackles.

Wayne attended IMG Academy before signing with the Hurricanes out of high school. He was ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 85 overall player in the country in the class of 2023, per the On3 Industry Rankings.
