2025 prospect Noah Knigga goes viral with distinctive name
Lawrenceburg (Ind.) three-star linebacker Noah Knigga has drawn plenty of attention this week — and it’s not because of his highlights on the gridiron.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder possesses a memorable name that has caught the eyes of the online sports world. Knigga announced on Wednesday morning via social media that he will be taking visits to West Virginia and Miami (Ohio) later this month.
His post on X about the upcoming WVU visit now sits at 28 million impressions and has made its way to some of the most popular sports pundits as a result.
ESPN personality and West Virginia alum Pat McAfee was one of the latest to talk about the viral linebacker on Friday. The cautiously playful segment landed a response from Knigga, who has taken the publicity — and memes — in stride.

As far as on-field ability, Knigga was a Junior All-State Team selection at the 3A level in Indiana this season despite playing only six games due to injury. Across three seasons, he’s tallied 207 tackles, including 42 tackles-for-loss and 14 sacks, according to MaxPreps.
Knigga is ranked as the No. 59 linebacker and No. 8 player in Indiana in the 2025 On300. His recruitment will now surely be monitored under the watchful eye of social media as he takes visits and gears up for his senior season at Lawrenceburg High School.
