North Carolina has offered offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, the On3 Consensus five-star recruit out of Des Moines (Iowa) Southeast Polk.

The On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — has Proctor as the No. 6 overall recruit in the country. He is also the top offensive tackle and top player from the state of Iowa in the class.

In September, Proctor released a top 12 list of Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Iowa State, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M.

Four of the schools on that list have new coaches. It is not known how much the coaching changes will impact his top schools list and recruitment in general. He said shortly after Lincoln Riley was hired by USC that Riley reached out to him.

Kadyn Proctor would be a big addition for North Carolina

The Tar Heels may have struggled on the football field this past fall but they did a great job on the recruiting trail.

North Carolina has the No. 10 recruiting class in the 2022 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking, which places them above all other schools in the ACC.

Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy five-star interior offensive lineman Zach Rice leads the recruits as the No. 14 overall player in the 2022 On3 Consensus.

Rice and Kadyn Proctor would make an imposing offensive line duo for any defense in the country.

Rice was at the Under Armour All-American Game last week and drew praise from On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power for his performance on day 1 of practice.

“Rice pairs strong hands with a stout base and anchor to quickly stymie opposing pass rushers,” Power said. “Rice quickly overpowered Texas A&M EDGE signee Malick Sylla and won two reps against Alabama EDGE signee Jeremiah Alexander. He may not be the longest offensive lineman in attendance, but Rice’s play strength and quick hands showed up in a big way on Wednesday.”
