North Dakota State transfer guard Jacari White is down to his Top 5 schools, his agency ADS Sports told On3’s Joe Tipton. Houston, Ole Miss, Texas, Virginia Tech and West Virginia are all finalists.

White put together an impressive senior season with the Bison this year, averaging 17.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. It was another leap forward after he started 22 out of 32 games a year ago, putting up 10.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. He also shot 39.8% from three-point territory in 2024-25.

Prior to his three seasons at North Dakota State, White played one season at State College of Florida. He averaged 13.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game as a freshman before transferring to NDSU.

To keep up with the latest players on the move, check out On3’s Transfer Portal wire.

The On3 Transfer Portal Instagram account and Twitter account are excellent resources to stay up to date with the latest moves.

Jacari White is an Orlando (Fla.) native and played high school basketball at Olympia. Because he started his career at the JUCO level, White will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Speaking with On3’s Jamie Shaw last week, White shared an update on his recruitment with multiple NCAA Tournament teams in pursuit and shared his timeline for taking visits. He also explained what he brings to a team as he goes through the transfer process.

Since entering the portal, White became one of the top shooting guards to hit the open market. He is currently the No. 96 overall player and No. 25-ranked SG so far this cycle, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.

North Dakota State went 21-11 overall this season, including an 11-6 mark in Summit League action. The Bison saw their season come to an end in the conference tournament against South Dakota despite defeating the Coyotes twice during the regular season.
