On Thursday, North Dakota State wide receiver Eli Green listed the schools that have reached out to him in the transfer portal: USC, Louisville, Cincinnati, Texas A&M, Boise State, Washington State, Houston, lowa, lowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Texas State, Duke, Arizona, Liberty, Tulane, Pittsburgh, Western Kentucky, Fresno State, James Madison and New Mexico State.

With the list, Green included a poignant message to any others programs interested in recruiting him.

“Appreciate all the schools that have reached out and offered! With my time frame, I am not looking to connect with any schools that are not listed below! God Bless!” Green wrote on X.

In the 2023 campaign, Green played in all 15 of North Dakota State’s game while making six starts. He led the Bison with 1,197 all-purpose yards and 877 receiving yards. Further, he finished second on the team with 45 pass receptions, including three touchdowns.

Green didn’t slow down under the spotlight. The 5-foot-11 junior erupted for a career-high five receptions for 116 yards in the NCAA quarterfinal win at South Dakota, including a career-long 48 yard passing play.

Eli Green played high school football at Farmington High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 404 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Green was a four year starter at Farmington and a team captain during his senior year. He was a jack-of-all-trades, contributing at wide receiver, defensive back and kick return. For his efforts, he was named to the All-Metro First Team his senior year with 22 receptions for 369 yards and five touchdowns.

Will Johnson accepts job on staff with North Dakota State

On Jan. 26, USC graduate assistant and former Oklahoma defensive back Will Johnson accepted an offer to become the next defensive backs coach at North Dakota State. Johnson posted a heartfelt message to social media about his decision to move on from USC.

“Extremely grateful and fortunate for my time at USC,” Johnson wrote on X. “So thankful for every staff member that I was fortunate enough to work with. Thank you to Coach Riley for the opportunity to grow as a coach and person. USC is truly 1st class.

“Last but most importantly, thank you to every player that I encountered there. I loved every second of our journey together. The highs and the lows. I only joined the profession with you guys in mind. The opportunity to develop and transform is my purpose and appreciate you all for letting me into y’all’s life. Love you boys and I hope that you all continue to operate in your passion of life. Thank you USC!”
