The third round of the playoffs saw some dominant performances by Texas A&M targets and commits over the weekend, including a couple prospects who visited College Station for the Aggies’ upset win over LSU.

Texas A&M four-star defensive back commit Dalton Brooks continues to light up the scoreboard as he looks to lead his Shiner (Tex.) High team to a third-straight state championship. In a 45-7 win over Flatonia, the four-star carried the ball 31 times for 298 yards and three touchdowns.

Texas A&M four-star defensive back commit Jayvon Thomas built off his strong showing last week with an even better day in a tight win over Midlothian (Tex.) Heritage, rushing for 217 yards and two touchdowns on just eleven carries.

2023 Picayune (Miss.) High four-star running back and Oregon commit Dante Dowdell totaled 274 offensive yards and five touchdowns in a 49-14 win over Gautier (Miss.) High. Texas A&M recently offered Dowdell, but will need to get him on campus in order to try and flip him away from the Ducks

2024 Dallas (Tex.) South Oak Cliff four-star athlete Jamyri Cauley finished with eight receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown in the Golden Bears’ win over Midlothian (Tex.) Heritage. Texas A&M has offered the versatile prospect who can play wide receiver or linebacker at the next level.

2024 McKinney (Tex.) High four-star running back Bryan Jackson rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown, along with a 42-yard touchdown pass in the Lions’ 42-25 loss to Southlake Carroll. He finishes his junior season with over 1,500 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns.

2024 Longview (Tex.) High four-star running back Taylor Tatum rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown along with a 35-yard reception for another touchdown in the Lobos’ dominant win over Port Arthur Memorial. The Aggies are a top contender in his recruitment.
