Notre Dame defeats Georgia to advance to College Football Playoff Semifinals

After Wednesday’s postponement due to the New Orleans New Year’s Day truck attack, Notre Dame and Georgia meet in the Sugar Bowl with a ticket to the College Football Playoff semifinals up for grabs. The winner will meet Penn State in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 9.

Georgia comes in after a first-round bye and will start Gunner Stockton in his first career start. Notre Dame rolls in after blowing out Indiana. The Bulldogs have a 3-0 series lead with Notre Dame. Kickoff is scheduled at 4 p.m. ET on Thursday on ESPN.
