Ohio State Five-Star Plus+ CB commit Na'eem Offord is back at Auburn

Na’eem Offord is back at Auburn for this third game this season. The five-star cornerback out of Birmingham (Ala.) Parker is a major target for Hugh Freeze and the Tigers.
The No. 10 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking was at Oregon for the Ohio State game and he has yet to make a game at Ohio State this season. He is eyeing a return to Columbus on Nov. 30 for the Michigan game, just days before the early signing period (Dec. 4-6).
Offord has been committed to the Buckeyes since February, but this recruitment looks to be far from over.
Wesley McGriff is Offord’s lead recruiter, but the whole staff is working to flip the elite in-state talent.
Offord has good relationships with several Auburn coaches, including cornerbacks coach Wesley “Crime Dog” McGriff. The two have developed a strong bond throughout Auburn’s recruitment of Offord. And McGriff is a big reason Offord remains interested in the Tigers.

But he’s not the only one.
“Not just Coach Crime. I ain’t gonna say just Coach Crime,” Offord told Jeffrey Lee of AuburnLive.com after his visit for the Alabama A&M game. “I ain’t going to lie. I’m going to be real. It’s everybody. Every time they see me, they are ready to see me. They are happy to see me and stuff like that.”
Auburn, Oregon threatening Ohio State
Oregon made a strong impression on Na’eem Offord when he was there for the Ohio State game. He remains in constant contact with the staff in Eugene as he does with staffs at Auburn and Ohio State. This season, Offord has taken in multiple games at Auburn and one at Oregon. He has talked about getting up to Columbus, but has yet to make it. Right now, Offord is eyeing the Michigan game on Nov. 30, so will he show up? Ryan Day and company need him to if they want to keep the elite cornerback out of Birmingham (Ala.) Parker in this class.
This could still go one of three ways, but the confidence is not all that high in Columbus that Offord is locked in with the Buckeyes. The Ducks are definitely in play, but Auburn may have the most confidence out of the three schools and the Tigers have a real chance at keeping Offord home.
