Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy four-star linebacker CJ Sanna has committed to Ohio State.

He chose the Buckeyes while also holding Power Four offers from Michigan State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Louisville, Missouri and others.

Sanna is the No. 387 overall prospect and No. 30 LB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 20 player in Ohio.

The latest in-state prospect to choose Ryan Day and Co., Sanna joins OSU’s 2026 class after logging multiple visits to Columbus. Buckeyes LBs coach James Laurinaitis prioritized the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder and has now added him to a growing 2026 pledge list.

“As a kid growing up in the 614 area, Buckeye football has been a pretty big part of my childhood,” Sanna told Lettermen Row back in the fall.

Buckeyes add to rising recruiting class

The spring has treated OSU well on the recruiting trail thus far. Sanna is the third commit of the week for Day and his staff. Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic four-star safety Blaine Bradford and Jacksonville Bolles four-star safety Simeon Caldwell have both also jumped in the boat.

Bradford, likely a future five-star, is currently the No. 25 overall prospect and No. 2 safety in the cycle. Caldwell checks in at No. 108 and No. 8 at the safety position.

“My favorite things about Ohio State, the culture, the development, they got the best coaches in the country,” Bradford told On3’s Steve Wiltfong following his decision. “Columbus is a really underrated city but it’s a great city to be in.”

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei five-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. told On3 this week that he’s now shut down his recruitment and is fully locking in with the Buckeyes, who have held his commitment since July of 2023.

Other top commits in the class include: Avon Lake (Ohio) four-star interior offensive lineman Max Riley, Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban four-star offensive tackle Sam Greer, Avon (Ohio) four-star athlete Jakob Weatherspoon and Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial four-star WR Jaeden Ricketts.

The class now features 10 commits and ranks No. 3 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
