Ohio State offers 2024 4-star OT brothers Deontae, Devontae Armstrong

Elyria (Ohio) St. Edward four-star offensive tackles Deontae Armstrong and Devontae Armstrong received offers from Ohio State Friday afternoon. They announced the news on Twitter.

Devontae is the No. 333 overall prospect and No. 15 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 13 player in Ohio.

Deontae is the No. 475 overall prospect and No. 27 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus. He is also the No. 10 player in Ohio.

On3 rates both brothers significantly higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, Devontae is the No. 299 overall prospect, No. 21 offensive tackle and No. 13 player in Ohio.

Deontae is ranked as the No. 269 overall prospect, No. 20 offensive tackle and No. 10 player in Ohio.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Ohio State with a narrow lead over Penn State to land commitments from the brothers.

The Buckeyes’ 2024 recruiting class contains three commits. They are Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, New Palestine (Ind.) interior offensive lineman Ian Moore and Sunbury (Ohio) Big Walnut four-star linebacker Garrett Stover.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $10.1K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
