Ohio State offers Cincinnati CB commit Jordyn Woods
Cartersville (Ga.) three-star cornerback Jordyn Woods logged his first visit to Ohio State two weekends ago when the Buckeyes defeated Nebraska.
Woods, a Cincinnati commit, left Columbus without an offer after that visit. On Sunday night, however, the 6-foot-4, 175-pounder took to social media to announce that secondary coach Tim Walton and defensive assistant Gerren DuHart have changed that.
“It would mean a lot,” Woods told Lettermen Row when asked about a potential OSU offer after his visit in October. “I can’t speak too much about the actions I would take when it comes to my commitment, but it would be something to talk over with my parents for sure.”
That offer is now on the table for the Peach State product, who has been committed to the Bearcats since June 25. Woods is currently one of four corners in the 2025 class for Scott Satterfield and Co.
He is the No. 117 CB and No. 143 player in Georgia in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He checks in as the No. 1,274 overall prospect.
The likes of Michigan State, Virginia and Minnesota have also extended offers, but the Buckeyes will clearly be one to watch in Woods’ recruitment moving forward.
