The Ohio State Buckeyes are preparing to roll out the welcome mat for the Iowa Hawkeyes this weekend in a Big Ten showdown. Ohio State remains undefeated and in the mix for a spot in the College Football Playoff. They’ll look to keep it that way on Saturday in Columbus. Check out the hype video they released before their Week 8 matchup. The Buckeyes’ video team is among one of the best in college football and they released yet another good one this week. This week’s video is narrated by Tanner McCallister.

“Identity. It’s about us. Simple as that. We are working towards our identity. That statement is to be made. We have a choice to make. Not a chance, but a choice. Something not just given, but achieved. We are here to make sure everyone knows who we are. Discipline. Fight. Brotherhood. That’s just the start of it. We have to earn the rest of our identity. To be the fastest. To be the toughest. To be the greatest. To be us. That’s our identity,” McCallister said in the hype video before a number of highlights from the 2022 season were shown.

Ohio State’s red zone stats are flat out ridiculous

The Ohio State offense has truly been the best. And it’s tough to argue with the stats. Once they’ve gotten in the red zone this year, the stats have been absolutely ridiculous. The Buckeyes have scored 29 of 29 times in the red zone. 27 of those 29 scores have resulted in touchdowns. Ohio State has also scored touchdowns on 30 of their last 38 possessions. Oh yeah, and they also get back Jaxon Smith Njigba this weekend, one of the best wide receivers in all of college football.

Ohio State’s offense is loaded with future NFL stars everywhere you look. Their offense has been everything college football fans across the country expected them to be. We’ll see how they handle the Iowa defense this weekend, which ranks third in the nation in points allowed per game (9.8).

Ohio State faces Iowa on Saturday, Oct. 22. Kickoff is slated for noon EST. The game will be nationally televised on FOX.
