4-star C Kai Rogers commits to Oklahoma
Kai Rogers, a four-star center in the 2025 class, has committed to Oklahoma and head coach Porter Moser, he told On3.
The 6-foot-10 senior out of Overtime Elite (GA) chose the Sooners over a top group of Iowa State and SMU, but also received offers from Wisconsin, Purdue, and others.
He becomes OU’s third commitment in the 2025 class, joining Industry four-star SF Alec Blair (No. 88 nationally) and On3 four-star PF Andreas Holst (No. 54 nationally).
Rogers, a native of Milwuakee, Wisconsin, is the No. 64 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 6 center prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

What led to his trust in coach Moser and the staff?
“Coach Porter doesn’t sugarcoat anything. He tells you as it is and he just made me feel comfortable from the jump. He’s chill off the court but when the time comes him and the rest of the staff are all high energy and that’s what I liked.”
In his own words, what type of player is Oklahoma getting in Kai Rogers?
“I’m a 5 that can stretch the floor. I’m great on the block and the dunker area. I can shoot the ball, I can pass and I’m a rim protector on defense.”
He has a message for Sooner fans.
“I’m excited to call OU my new home. Go Sooners!”
Scouting Report
“Kai Rogers is a strong and physically impressive post presence. He has good hands and an understanding of how he can best affect the game, and play within himself. While not super bursty, he has good timing around the basket as a rim protector. He is patient on the block and can score with a go-to move over his left shoulder. Rogers has touch on his shot and is developing a catch and shoot jumper. The release is good and the balance and footwork is improving. He is a good area rebounder. He plays tough on traffic. Has recently lost a good bit of weight which has helped him improve his athleticism and conditioning.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
