4-star EDGE Daniel Norman commits to Oklahoma

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star EDGE Daniel Norman has committed to Oklahoma, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Monday.
He chose the Sooners over Colorado, Miami and UCLA.
Norman is the No. 359 overall prospect and No. 38 EDGE in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 54 player in Florida.
Another June blue-chip pledge has vaulted Oklahoma up toward the top 20 of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Norman was in Norman for his official visit with OU over the weekend and has now made the call in favor of Brent Venables and Co.
Playing for one of the most notable high school football brands in the nation, Norman compiled more than 30 tackles and seven sacks for St. Thomas Aquinas as a junior last season. He’ll be a key cog in the STA defense as a senior this fall.
Sooners add another big pledge to 2026 class
Make it eight commitments for OU this month. The Sooners remain red-hot on the trail this summer and are now seeing some dividends following the heart of official visit season.
