Former Virginia defensive lineman Michael Diatta tells On3 he has signed with Oklahoma State.

The 6-foot-4, 292-pound Diatta also considered UCLA, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest among others. He has two years of eligibility left.

“They have a winning culture there,” Diatta said. “Coach (Mike) Gundy’s resume speaks for itself. Nineteen-straight winning seasons and there’s a real need for me there. They emphasized that I’m going to come in and truly help their program and be a difference maker.”

Oklahoma State has been very busy in the Transfer Portal this 2025 cycle. Look at all the Cowboys pickups here.

Diatta had 29 tackles this fall in the middle of the Virginia defense. He’ll plug and play for the Cowboys.

“The room is wide open,” Diatta said “They didn’t just want me, they needed me.”

Diatta ranks as the No. 30 defensive lineman in the Transfer Portal Rankings.
