Oklahoma State moves start time vs. Arizona State due to inclement weather
Oklahoma State and Arizona State‘s showdown on Saturday will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game was initially scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. CT but was moved forward in the day due to fear of inclement weather.
The Cowboys will host the Sun Devils at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Sitting at 0-5 in conference play, Oklahoma State will be hungry for a win.
Most recently, the Cowboys suffered a 38-28 loss to Baylor. Oklahoma State’s defense couldn’t find stops in the loss, allowing the Bears to amass 567 total yards of offense while only committing one turnover.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma State’s performance was riddled with mistakes. The team committed 12 penalties, knocking them back 84 total yards. They also had two turnovers — a fumble and an interception. Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy was disappointed in his team’s lack of discipline.
“I told the team that we were not disciplined today,” Gundy said after the game. “We had 84 yards in penalties, which is not like us. I felt like we missed opportunities.”
Oklahoma State wasn’t the only team that turned in a subpar performance its last time on the field. The Sun Devils enjoyed a bye last week after falling 24-14 to Cincinnati in Week 8.

It was a tale of two halves for Arizona State, which allowed Cincinnati to rattle off all 24 of its points in the first half. Despite holding the Bearcats scoreless in the second half, the Sun Devils were unable to generate enough offense to mount a comeback.
In his first start for the Sun Devils, quarterback Jeff Sims completed just 12-of-his-23 pass attempts for 155 yards. He failed to find the end zone against the Bearcats, as running back Cam Skattebo was solely responsible for ASU’s two touchdowns in the loss.
After the game, ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham evaluated Sims’ performance.
“We’ve got to play better around him. We’ve got to play better as a football team,” Dillingham said. “We’ve got to coach better. All around we didn’t play great as a football team.
“I don’t think this game was about who played the quarterback position. I think this game was about our guys playing their guys … I thought they did a better job coaching. I thought I got outcoached. … The key moments in the game, we didn’t make. When you don’t make the key moments in the game, you lose games.”
