Oklahoma transfer WR Andrel Anthony commits to Duke
Oklahoma transfer wide receiver Andrel Anthony committed to Duke, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He started his career at Michigan, but only appeared in one game with OU this past season.
Anthony only appeared in the 2024 season opener against Temple, but didn’t suit up again the rest of the way for the Sooners. He continued to recover from a knee injury suffered in 2023 against Texas, but officially entered the NCAA transfer portal Dec. 11.
Over the course of his college career, Anthony has 47 receptions for 761 yards and five touchdowns. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Andrel Anthony played high school football at East Lansing (Mich.), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 585 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Anthony is the third commitment out of the portal for Manny Diaz at Duke. The biggest addition is at quarterback as the Blue Devils landed former Tulane standout Darian Mensah, who came in as the No. 30 overall player and No. 5-ranked quarterback to hit the transfer portal so far this cycle, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.
Mensah redshirted as a true freshman before a breakout sophomore campaign in 2024. He completed better than 65 percent of his passes, while throwing for over 2,100 yards and 18 touchdowns, and he’ll now take his talents to Duke.
