Richton Park (Ill.) Rich Township three-star EDGE Carmelow Reed has flipped his commitment from Wisconsin to Ole Miss, he tells On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

He was pledged to the Badgers since April 7, but is now in the fold for the Rebels following an official visit to Oxford over the weekend.

Reed is the No. 492 overall prospect and No. 51 EDGE in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 14 player in Illinois.

Ole Miss originally offered Reed back in March. Head coach Lane Kiffin and the Rebels’ staff have since turned up the heat, got him to campus for a crucial OV and has now pulled off the flip, getting the Midwest standout away from the Badgers and Big Ten country.

The addition of Reed gives the Rebels eight commitments this cycle. The class ranks No. 16 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

More on Ole Miss Recruiting

Headlining the pledge list for the Rebels is Leesburg (Fla.) Tavares four-star linebacker Izayia Williams.

A former Louisville, Syracuse, Florida State and Florida commit, Williams flipped to the Rebels on May 2. While he’s now been committed to five different programs, the Sunshine State recruit is still an elite player who checks in at No. 13 overall in the On300.

De Kalb (Miss.) Kemper County four-star running back Damarius Yates is a top-150 recruit and the No. 12 RB nationally. He committed on May 4, just five days before Hoover (Ala.) Spain Park four-star wide receiver Corey Barber did the same. Barber chose the Rebels over Alabama.

Ole Miss landed two commitments in April via Austin (Texas) Westlake three-star quarterback Rees Wise and Nettleton (Miss.) Tupelo three-star cornerback Braylon Williams. Wise is currently the nation’s No. 30 QB. He plays for one of the top high school programs in Texas.

Sacramento Folsom three-star WR Jameson Powell and Montgomery (Ala.) Pike Road three-star RB Ja’Michael Jones help round out the class. Ole Miss lost a commitment from Niceville (Fla.) three-star athlete Zion Legree over the weekend.
