Alabama 5-star WR commit Caleb Cunningham visits Ole Miss
Ole Miss isn’t hosting as massive a visitor list as some of its SEC contemporaries, but there is a big-time five-star in Oxford in this weekend.
Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County five-star wide receiver and current Alabama commit Caleb Cunningham is at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium as the Rebels open their season against Furman.
The in-state standout has already been on campus once this summer, as he visited for the Rebels’ big Juice Fest recruiting weekend at the end of July. No program has had Cunningham in for more visits than Ole Miss, though he made the call for the Crimson Tide on July 13.
Next weekend, Cunningham will return to Tuscaloosa when Alabama takes on USF. He’s also aiming to take other visits throughout the fall, though in a recent interview with On3’s Chad Simmons, Cunningham maintained that he was fully locked with Kalen DeBoer’s program.
“Nothing has changed,” Cunningham told On3. “I am still committed to Alabama. I am just taking visits. Mississippi State is another school I will visit and I could get to LSU. My commitment to Alabama is still strong and I can’t wait to get back.”
“I just knew it man,” he said upon his commitment. “It was really in the middle of the visit. It just felt different. I had been there before, and Alabama was always high on my list, but I knew that was where I wanted to be. That is why I committed to Alabama.”

Cunningham is the No. 14 overall prospect, No. 2 wideout and top-ranked player in Mississippi in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
As a junior, Cunningham managed 48 catches for 1,138 yards and 14 touchdowns. The dual-sport athlete also averaged 18.6 points per game on the basketball court last season. Earlier this month, he was named to the Clarion Ledger’s annual Dandy Dozen, highlighting its top 12 players in the state of Mississippi ahead of the 2024 season.
Caleb Cunningham Scouting Summary
On3 writes this of Cunningham as a prospect:
“Bouncy outside receiver with the upside to become a skilled ball-winner. Measured at a shade 6-foot-2, 180 pounds with 32-inch arms and 9-inch hands prior to his senior season. Moves well at his size on film. Shows the ability to come down with catches in contested situations. Hangs in the air to come down with acrobatic grabs. Naturally coordinated and can locate the football at its highest point. Also shows some ability to make defenders miss after the catch. Increased his production as a junior, catching 48 passes for 1,138 yards and 14 touchdowns.
…Doubles as a fantastic high school basketball player, who has perhaps the best dunk reel among 2025 football prospects. Lives above the rim, throwing down electric dunks with regularity. Has considerable natural ability but will need to hone his technical skill at the position over the final few years of high school football, including expanding his route tree. Older for the cycle, turning 19 years-old as a senior. Has considerable upside with continued technical development.”
