2026 RB Ja'Michael Jones commits to Ole Miss

Montgomery (Ala.) Pike Road three-star running back Ja’Michael Jones has committed to Ole Miss, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
He chose the Rebels over Auburn and Georgia.
Jones is the No. 554 overall prospect and No. 35 RB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 23 player in Alabama.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pounder visited Oxford this weekend and is now in the boat for head coach Lane Kiffin and Co. He is commitment No. 3 for the Rebels, flanking Sacramento Folsom three-star wide receiver Jameson Powell and Pensacola (Fla.) Pine Forest three-star athlete Zion Legree.
“They make football a business that seems very fun to be in,” Jones said of Ole Miss when speaking to OM Spirit last year. “My relationship with them is very good. Kevin Smith was the first coach to give me an offer. Ever since then, we have been very close.”
When speaking with On3’s Chad Simmons earlier this month, Jones said that he wasn’t looking to make a decision until after he logged all of his visits. That was before he got back over to Ole Miss, which clearly made a gigantic impression this weekend.
“I am waiting until after I get all the spring visits done, then I will think about the official visits. I could commit to a school before I take official visits too, so that is something I am thinking about,” Jones previously said.

More on Ole Miss Recruiting
The Rebels’ class got going back in November with a pledge from Legree, a 6-foot-1, two-way playmaker out of the Sunshine State. He ranks as the No. 520 recruit overall.
Powell then committed earlier this year on Jan. 22. The Golden State pass-catcher checks in as the No. 471 recruit and No. 70 WR in the nation.
“I want to go against the best, go against guys who will be first round draft picks and that is why I chose to play in the SEC with Ole Miss,” Powell told On3. “To be the best, you have to play against them and compete with them. I will get that in the SEC.”
Ole Miss is coming off signing the No. 19 class in the 2025 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The Rebels inked 13 high school prospects, headlined by top-100 standouts in four-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham and four-star interior offensive lineman Devin Harper. Cunningham finished the cycle as the No. 39 recruit and No. 7 WR overall.
