Ole Miss offensive tackle Kavion Broussard plans to enter the transfer portal, he tells On3. The former three-star flipped to the Rebels from Miami late in his recruitment. He’s set to have four years of eligibility remaining.

The Zachary, Louisiana, native flipped to Ole Miss days before Early National Signing Day in 2023. The 6-foot-6, 253-pound offensive tackle initially picked the Hurricanes over Florida State, TCU, Missouri and Mississippi State. He was the No. 43 offensive tackle in the 2024 class and the No. 19 Louisiana recruit.

The transfer portal officially opens on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers. That means roughly 25% of all FBS scholarship players hit free agency in one year.
