Ole Miss running back Henry Parrish Jr. expected to miss remainder of season
Ole Miss running back Henry Parrish Jr. is expected to miss the remainder of the season, multiple sources tell On3. The Miami transfer injured his left leg against Arkansas and was ruled out for Saturday’s Georgia game.
In his final year of eligibility, Parrish emerged as Ole Miss’ leading rusher posting 678 yards on 130 carries with 10 touchdowns. The senior averaged 5.2 yards per carry in nine games. He ranks sixth in the SEC in rushing in 2024.
Parrish started his college career at Ole Miss and rushed for 816 yards and five touchdowns across 2020 and 2021. He found success transferring to Miami, rushing for over 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns before transferring back to Ole Miss last offseason.
“Yeah, he’s out. That’s all I got,” Kiffin said Sunday night when asked about Parrish. Kiffin didn’t offer any more details on Monday.
Without Parrish for the remaining three games of the season, Ole Miss will have to lean on Ulysses Bentley IV, Matt Jones and Domonique Thomas in the coming weeks. Thomas rushed for 41 yards on 10 carries against Arkansas. He’s posted 131 yards and a touchdown this season.

Jones has gained 22 yards with three touchdowns while Bentley has 185 yards and a score. Former Notre Dame and LSU running back Logan Diggs is still recovering from an ACL injury but could return later this season, Kiffin recently said.
“We’re going to need some guys to step up,” Kiffin said on Monday. “That’s a big loss for us. He’d done well for us this year with the ball and in protection. Teams face adversity and that (running back) room’s facing it.”
Ole Miss still has a path to the College Football Playoff with a win against Georgia on Saturday. The Rebels currently have a 30.3% chance to make the playoff, according to ESPN’s FPI.
