Ole Miss set to hire former UCLA, UConn defensive coordinator Lou Spanos as analyst
Ole Miss is set to hire former UCLA and UConn defensive coordinator Lou Spanos as an analyst, sources tell On3.
Spanos was UCLA’s defensive coordinator in 2012 and ’13 under Jim Mora and then UConn’s defensive coordinator from 2019 to ’21. He was also UConn’s interim head coach in 2021.
In addition to UCLA, UConn and a stop at Alabama as an analyst in 2018, Spanos worked in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans (2014-17), Washington Commanders (2010-11) and Pittsburgh Steelers (1995-2009).
