On3 Five-Star Plus+ Domani Jackson down to 2

Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Domani Jackson of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei is down to Alabama and USC.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound five-star cornerback was formerly committed to the Trojans, but recently decommitted. Jackson has visited USC and Michigan multiple times and took an official visit to Alabama on November 6th.
Alabama is a winning program
“Coach (Nick) Saban produces DBs each year,” Jackson said. “He runs a winning program, and that’s why I came to Mater Dei (High School)— to play for a winning program and compete against top dudes every day that want to come in, work, and be great.”
USC is home for Domani Jackson
“USC is home,” Jackson said. “Coach (Lincoln) Riley is a great coach. He was always in the top five with Oklahoma, and I think he can do the same with SC. I believe that he can put the pieces together on the defensive side and make SC a playoff contender pretty soon.”
Domani Jackson is ranked as the No. 3 player in the On3 Consensus, which is a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Scouting Domani Jackson
“Domani Jackson has the best combination of size and long speed among the cornerbacks in the 2022 cycle,” said Charles Power, the Director of Scouting and Rankings for On3.
“He tied the California state record in the 100 meters as a junior, running a posting 10.25-second mark in the state finals at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. A technically sound, smooth mover who has been well-coached at one of the nation’s top high school programs.”
“He is battle-tested against top wide receivers playing against nationally-ranked high school teams on a regular basis. Has considerable make-up speed to close the gap when he is out of phase. As a defense-only player, he’s still a work in progress when it comes to instincts and ball-tracking skills. Missed the majority of his senior season after tearing his ACL in Mater Dei’s first game.”
