Our choices for Week 7:
AAC — Charlie Frye, FAU OC
FAU racked up 587 yards and seven offensive touchdowns in a 56-14 win over USF. New FAU QB Daniel Richardson, who took over as the Owls’ starting QB after Casey Thompson suffered a season-ending injury, threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns. FAU also ran for 205 yards and four TDs.
Conference USA — Bradley Dale Peveto, UTEP DC
UTEP limited FIU to 14 points during a 27-14 victory over the Panthers. The Miners tallied two takeaways, had three fourth-down stops and limited FIU to 2 of 11 on third downs.
MAC — Nick Benedetto, Northern Illinois DC
Northern Illinois held Ohio to 254 yards during a 23-13 win over the previously 5-1 Bobcats. Ohio standout QB Kurtis Rourke threw for just 159 yards with no touchdown passes and three interceptions.
Mountain West — Brennan Marion, UNLV OC
Behind Marion, UNLV reached the 40-point mark for a fourth straight game in improving to 5-1 with a 45-27 win over Nevada. The Rebels accumulated 518 yards of total offense.

Sun Belt — Bryant Haines, James Madison DC
James Madison held Georgia Southern to a season-low point total during a 40-13 victory over the Eagles. Georgia Southern, which was 4-1 entering the game, had scored 34 points or more in four of its first five games. Against JMU, the Eagles had just six points and were without any touchdowns through the game’s first 59 minutes.
Sun Belt — Greg Gasparato, Troy DC
Troy’s defense led the way as the Trojans secured a 19-0 shutout win over Army. It was the third straight week that Troy has limited an opponent to seven points or fewer.
