On3 hires Steve Wiltfong as VP of Recruiting & Transfer Portal

On3, the premier college sports digital media, data and marketing company for fans, media, coaches, athletes and brands, today announced the hiring of Steve Wiltfong as its Vice President of Recruiting and Transfer Portal. He officially starts Monday, April 1. 

Wiltfong is well-known for his work at 247Sports, where he has established himself as one of the industry’s leading and most widely-respected football recruiting experts and newsbreakers. 

At On3, he will continue breaking news and providing intel on the recruitments of top high school football prospects in the country. He will bring coverage of the ever-busy NCAA transfer portal and break news around coaching and staff movements.

Wiltfong is the latest addition to a deep roster of leading reporters in college sports. He joins On3’s director of recruiting Chad Simmons to form one of the most formidable reporting teams in the football recruiting industry. Wiltfong will also be featured on a weekly show on the On3’s YouTube network, the ‘Wiltfong Whiparound‘ where he will deliver the last scoop on high school football recruiting and transfer portal news.

He brings more than 20 years of experience covering college football and recruiting to On3, with previous stops at The South Bend Tribune and ESPN affiliate Irish Sports Daily. Over the past 13 years at 247Sports, where he previously worked with Terry.
