ORLANDO – Three of the top uncommitted prospects in the country are scheduled to commit Sunday during the Under Armour All-America Game.

Here’s an in-depth look at where the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine is projecting Five-Star Plus+ linebacker Harold Perkins, four-star EDGE Omari Abor and four-star running back Jovantae Barnes to end up at.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine was released to the public in early December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Will Harold Perkins’ make a final commitment at Under Armour Game?

Throughout the week of practice for the Under Armour Game, Harold Perkins – the five-star linebacker from Cypress (Texas) Cy Park – has repeatedly said he will announce a commitment during the game. But he’s also said multiple times that his commitment is just a commitment “for now.”

Perkins reiterated that again after practice on Saturday.

Perkins said Saturday again he plans to take an official visit to Florida and possibly Miami in January. That’s what makes his commitment during the game a fascinating storyline to follow.

Texas A&M is the heavy favorite over Texas and LSU, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

The RPM gives Texas A&M a 96.5% chance of landing Perkins’ during his commitment at the Under Armour Game.

Texas has a 2% chance and LSU has a 1% chance, according to the RPM. Three recruiting insiders have projected Perkins to commit to the Aggies with all of the predictions higher than 60%.

While the RPM seems to have a solid idea of where Perkins will commit to Sunday, what will be interesting is to see where he signs with in February.

Omari Abor – the four-star EDGE out of Duncanville, Texas – has long been thought to be a lock to Ohio State. There was some buzz in Orlando throughout the week about A&M’s chances increasing. But all indications are that the Buckeyes are still the likely choice during his announcement at the Under Armour Game.

According to the On3 Recruiting Predication Machine, there is a 95.5% chance that Abor picks the Buckeyes on Sunday. A&M’s chances remained at 2.2%, even with the talk that they could be making a last-minute push with Abor.

Five recruiting insiders have projected Abor to commit to Ohio State, with three of the predictions higher than 60%.

What could complicate Abor’s situation is that he, too, might look around at other schools after his announcement at the Under Armour Game.

“I’ll be relieved,” Omari Abor said. “But at the same time, I won’t be signed. There will still be coaches calling and texting like ‘Hey you can still flip.’ I’m going to still take my visits. I would like to go [on an official visit] to Florida. And I want to try and take my official visit to Texas.”

Sooners team to beat for Jovantae Barnes before UA Game

Barnes, the four-star running back from Las Vegas Desert Pines running back, will announce his commitment during the Under Armour game, too. The 5-foot-11, 199-pound four-star is the No. 93 prospect in the On3 Consensus and he is down to Florida StateOklahoma and USC.

“It has been tough, but I am ready,” Barnes said earlier this week after an Under Armour Game practice. “There have been some things happen that made me think things over, but I have pushed through it. A lot of different schools have given me things to think about. But I will be going to Florida State, Oklahoma or USC.”

There’s been heavy buzz that Oklahoma is the team to beat for Barnes. A number of players in the Under Armour camp believe he’s heading to Norman. But there also continues to be a push from players like USC Five-Star Plus+ cornerback signee Domani Jackson to pick the Trojans.

“People thought early that I was a lock to go to USC. But they had some tough times, so I had to look at all my options,” Barnes said. “I think Coach (Lincoln) Riley is going to do great there.”

However, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lists Oklahoma with a 95.7% chance of landing Barnes before his announcement on Sunday. There have been four projections for Barnes to commit to Oklahoma from recruiting insiders, with none of the projections lower than 70%.
