The next 96 hours will be critical in the battle to land five-star defensive lineman Shemar Stewart.

First, Miami coach Mario Cristobal is sending multiple staffers to Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace on Thursday to visit with and check in with Shemar Stewart.

Miami defensive line coach Joe Salave’a and cornerbacks coach Demarcus Van Dyke are expected to be at Pace ahead of Stewart’s official visit that starts on Friday.

This won’t be Stewart’s first-time meeting with the group of Miami assistants. The same coaches were at his doorstep at 12:01 a.m. Jan. 14 when the recruiting contact period opened back up.

Up next for Stewart on Thursday will be one final in-home visit with Texas A&M. Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher is believed to making the visit, too. Head coaches are only allowed one in-home visit with a prospect. So, the timing of Fisher’s visit with Stewart is key with Signing Day now less than a week away.

Then as the calendar turns to Friday, Shemar Stewart will travel across town to take his official visit with the Hurricanes. He was on campus on Jan. 15, but this will be Miami’s chance to roll out and green and orange carpet for Stewart.

The visit should be Stewart’s last face-to-face interaction with a coaching staff, as the recruiting dead period kicks in at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 31.

On3 RPM still favors A&M for Shemar Stewart

Heading into the final stretch before Signing Day, Texas A&M was viewed as the team to beat. In fact, the Aggies still lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. But momentum has been shifting toward Miami and Georgia before his Feb. 2 announcement.

The On3 RPM still favors the Aggies at 59.5%. But look for the race to tighten up even more in the coming days as more expert predictions are logged.

As of now, five projections are in for Texas A&M and one is logged for Miami. Most of those were made before Stewart set up this last Miami official visit.

There has also been some intel that Georgia – he visited last weekend – is very much in this, too. So we’re getting every indication that the race to land Shemar Stewart continues to tighten.

Shemar Stewart currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $34,000. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time. Stewart ranks No. 126 in the High School Football NIL Rankings.
