On300 defensive lineman Hero Kanu down to 5 schools
Four-star defensive lineman Hero Kanu of Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) has narrowed his list to five schools- LSU, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Georgia.
The 6-foot-5, 295 pounder previously announced a top 9 in July. This time around, he eliminated Alabama, Clemson, Washington, USC, and Texas and added Notre Dame to the list.
The No.23 defensive lineman in the On300 rankings spoke more on each program.
LSU
“LSU made the list because of the coaches,” Kanu said “They really have a big focus on the defensive line with Coach (Ed) Orgeron as the head coach.”
Ohio State
“Ohio State made the list because of Coach (Larry) Johnson and the people that are there,” Kanu said. “When I visited I was able to meet the whole team.”
Notre Dame
“Notre Dame is a great academic school and has great coaches,” Kanu said. “I always was a priority as soon as I received my offer. The university reminds me of my hometown in Germany.”
