On300 Edge Kenyatta Jackson Commits to Ohio State

Four-star Edge Kenyatta Jackson of Hollywood (Fla.) has committed to Ohio State. The 6-foot-5 230 pounder chose the Buckeyes over Alabama and Oklahoma.
Coach (Larry) Johnson, the defensive line coach, played a huge role in his decision.
“The relationship that I have with Coach Johnson is really close,” Jackson said. “I can call him another one of my grandfathers if I want to.”
Johnson’s track record for putting guys in the league is another factor that stands out to the 2022 prospect.
“Coach Johnson’s track record for putting defensive ends in the league was one of the main reasons I chose Ohio State,” Jackson said.
Since Johnson arrived in 2014, he has put three defensive rookie of the year winners in the NFL. Joey Bosa in 2017, Nick in 2019, and Chase Young in 2020.

Family Atmosphere at Ohio State
“My visit was great,” Jackson said. “It felt like I was with my very own family. I loved the atmosphere and the people there.”
Kenyatta visited Ohio State twice this summer. He took his official visit on June 25th, and then came back the next month on an unofficial.
Jackson, who is ranked as the No.11 Edge in the On300 2022 rankings, joins Ohio State’s top five class alongside CJ Hicks, Terrance Brooks, and others.
