On300 LB Jaiden Ausberry sets commitment date

Jaiden Ausberry dived head-first into a busy June that was comprised of official visits around the country. Now, the On3 Consensus‘ No. 9-rated linebacker in the 2023 cycle has a date circled on the calendar to reveal his college decision.
Ausberry will make his commitment public on CBS HQ on Aug. 4 at 6:30 PM CST. The four-star Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab defender will be choosing from Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Michigan, Auburn, LSU, Alabama and Florida. The Irish are currently leading the way for Ausberry over the in-state Tigers on the Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Ausberry, an LSU legacy, took official visits to Auburn, Notre Dame, Michigan and Texas A&M in June, and told On3 he is saving his fifth official visit for during the season. His older brother, Austin Ausberry, is entering his freshman season in the Auburn secondary.

Ausberry scouting report
“Instinctive linebacker whose field vision allows him to play fast.. Keys and diagnoses faster than everyone on the field. Excellent trigger and ability to sort through the trash to meet ball carriers in the hole. Measured at around 6-foot-0.5, 205 pounds with a 31.75-inch arm prior to his senior season. Lacks ideal length and will need to add mass throughout his frame to play in the box consistently. Looks to have strong intangibles which will allow him to see the field sooner than most. Ran an 11.67 second 100 meter time and jumped a 20-foot-2 long jump during his junior track and field season. Could develop into an every down defender once he grows into his frame.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
