On300 safety Marvin Burks Jr. announces commitment date
St. Louis (Mo.) Cardinal Ritter College Prep four-star safety Marvin Burks Jr. is ready to make his college commitment.
Burks announced on Wednesday that he will commit this Friday, Oct. 21, and will chose between Ole Miss, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-2, 181-pound Burks is the No. 337 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 32 safety and the No. 10 senior recruit in Missouri.
The Industry Comparison shows On3 is higher on him than other services though, ranking him as the No. 295 overall prospect nationally, No. 24 safety and No. 9 player in Missouri.

Burks made official visits this summer to Missouri, Texas A&M and Ole Miss, and he returned to see the Tigers again in September. However, Burks returned to Oxford earlier this month to see the Rebels’ knock off then-No. 7 Kentucky.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Ole Miss holds a 92.2 percent chance of securing his commitment, with Missouri (3.9%) and Texas A&M (1.7%) trailing behind.
As a senior this fall, Burks has rushed 38 times for 383 yards and two touchdowns, while notching 11 tackles on defense through three contests.
