Four-star defensive lineman Jordan Hall of Jacksonville (Fla.) Westside High is down to five schools– Alabama, LSU, Florida, Ohio State, and Georgia.

The 6-foot-5, 308 pounder went in-depth on his finalists.

Alabama

“Bama is my dream school,” Hall said. “It has always been a dream of mine to be there and play at Bryant Denny. The love Bama has shown me over the past few months has grown tremendously, and coach Saban and the rest of the staff want me there. They made that very clear on my official visit.”

LSU

“LSU, out of all schools, really caught my eye,” Hall said. “It was something totally different than what I expected. I thought I was back at home in the ‘Ville on the drive up there and then the stadium and apartments popped outta nowhere and just changed the whole atmosphere of the visit. I could really see myself thriving there and really feel like I fit in there.”

Florida

“Florida probably has been the team in my recruitment that I’ve loved the most,” Hall said. “The love the new staff has shown since they’ve been there has been absolutely crazy, and I can’t really find anything bad to say about them.  I mean yeah, the season isn’t going so good, but it’s Napier’s first year so it isn’t ever gonna be good or great. But I love it there. It feels like home and it’s close to my family. Not that it’s a factor in my recruitment, it’s just easy access for them, but I really love UF.”

Ohio State

“Ohio state is the one out of the five I haven’t been to, but I’m really the most interested in seeing what they have to offer,” Hall said. “They are always a good offense for me to compete against in practice. Coach Johnson is one of the best ever at what he does. I’ll be in a new environment for me to grow as a person, and I really feel like I’ll be able to grow and thrive there as a D-lineman. The SEC has a lot of people like me in it, but the BIG10 doesn’t, so I’ll come in and be developed and have a very good impact as soon as I get there I believe.”

Georgia

“Georgia is the place I feel myself the most,” Hall said. “I’ll just be molded into the player I need and want to be, but as far as recruitment, I love it so much there. Other than Florida, Georgia is the school I’ve been loving the most and I’ve grown close to the players. We talk and text and they help me with moves and things that can enhance my game, and I respect that a lot. It feels like home there and I love it every time I go. Also, I fit into their scheme. They love my personality and coach Kirby is that guy. There’s no real negatives on going to Georgia.

Jordan Hall Scouting Summary

“Explosive defensive lineman who has one of the best first steps in the 2023 cycle,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “Explodes into the backfield in a split second, blowing up plays in the backfield. Shows outstanding short area burst, closing on quarterbacks and running backs. Uses active hands at the line of scrimmage and employs an effective swim move. Looks to have long arms, which aid in his ability as a violent finisher behind the line. Has the play speed to track down plays from the backside. Put together some of the best junior season video among defensive tackles in the 2023 cycle. Played well when facing top competition. Will benefit from time in a college strength program.”
