The high school football season has now jumped into overdrive across the country, and some of the elite quarterbacks in the 2022 On300 have been living up to their rankings and then some. Even without Quinn Ewers, who reclassified up to 2021 and enrolled early at Ohio State, this group is loaded with firepower and has shredded the record books at their respective schools. Here’s a look at how On3’s top 15 quarterbacks in the 2022 class have fared:

No. 1: Drew Allar—Penn State commit

Background: Medina (Ohio) High
2022 On300 Ranking: No. 28
Allar’s cumulative stats are hard to come by, but he put on a show in Medina’s 48-13 win over Strongsville (Ohio) last week. In total, he notched seven touchdowns (four in the air and three on the ground) while racking up 422 passing yards and 29 more on the ground. He followed that up with a trip to Penn State for the Nittany Lions’ “White Out” game vs. Auburn.

No. 2: Cade Klubnik—Clemson commit

Background: Austin (Texas) Westlake
2022 On300 Ranking: No. 33
Through three games, he has thrown for 923 yards and 10 touchdowns and is averaging 307.7 yards a game. He’s added three rushing scores and been intercepted once in 84 attempts. He’ll look to add to that when Westlake returns from its bye this week against Del Valle.

No. 3: Conner Weigman—Texas A&M commit

Background: Cypress (Texas) Bridgeland
2022 On300 Ranking: No. 53
If there’s a quarterback in the state of Texas having a better year than Klubnik, the only one is likely Weigman. Through three games, he’s already at 1,112 yards passing and 11 touchdowns. He is completing 65% of his passes and averaging 370 yards a game. Video of Weigman’s 468 yards passing last week against The Woodlands has gone viral on social media.

No. 4: Walker Howard—LSU commit

Background: Lafayette (La.) St. Thomas More
2022 On300 Ranking: No. 60
St. Thomas More rebounded from an 0-2 start with with a 63-0 win over Plaquemine last week. After throwing for 730 yards through his first two games, Howard totaled 253 yards, two passing touchdowns and another score on the ground.

No. 5: Ty Simpson—Alabama commit

Background: Martin (Tenn.) Westview
2022 On300 Ranking: No. 66
Alabama will likely have Bryce Young as a starter for at least the next two seasons, but Simpson should have Crimson Tide fans excited about the future. Through four games, he’s thrown for 1,077 yards, 15 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

No. 6: Devin Brown—USC commit

Background: Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon
2022 On300 Ranking: No. 78
Brown, who has been committed to USC since last September, recently picked up an offer from ex-Trojans coach Lane Kiffin, now the head man at Ole Miss. Brown has said he remains “100% committed” to the Trojans. He’s shown this season why so many view him as a prized recruit, completing 102 of 141 passes for 2,007 yards and 23 touchdowns through six games.

No. 7: Henry Belin—Duke commit

Background: Bronx (N.Y.) Cardinal Hayes
2022 On300 Ranking: No. 80
Belin’s Cardinal Hayes squad improved to 1-2 on the season in dramatic fashion with a 40-39 win over Chaminade (NY). Belin, the headliner of Duke’s class, threw this game-winning pass on a hook and ladder to secure the victory.

No. 8: Gunner Stockton—Georgia commit

Background: Tiger (Ga.) Rabun County
2022 On300 Ranking: No. 101
After four games this season, Stockton has officially passed the 10,000-yard mark in his high school career. Rabun County is 3-1, and Stockton has thrown for 1,278 yards (319.6 per game) and 16 touchdowns, while also throwing just one interception. Thompson has outscored its opponents 259-12, but Harrell has managed to throw 18 touchdowns to just one interception and has notched nearly 1,100 passing yards on just 80 attempts.

No. 13: Garret Rangel—Oklahoma State commit

Background: Frisco (Texas) Lone Star

Rangel is still out due to a lower leg injury he suffered against Aledo, the top-ranked team in the AP Class 5A Division II state poll. Through the first two games, Rangel threw for 542 yards and six touchdowns. He also completed 64% of his passes and had one interception.

No. 14: AJ Duffy—Florida commit

Background: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
2022 On300 Ranking: No. 215

No. 15: Justyn Martin—California commit

Background: Inglewood (Calif.) High
2022 On300 Ranking: No. 223
After two weeks off, Martin and his Inglewood squad will play Palos Verdes Friday night and attempt to get to 4-0 on the season. His official stats aren’t available, but he is a member of Inglewood’s record book after an eight-touchdown performance during last year’s spring season. He took an official visit to Ole Miss this past weekend, and Lane Kiffin is still looking for his 2022 quarterback.
