One Shining Moment video highlights the best from a wild 2023 NCAA Tournament

One of the best moments from the NCAA Tournament has arrived. Well, several of the best moments.

One Shining Moment has debuted, featuring many of the classic and unforgettable moments from the 2023 NCAA Tournament, a tournament that was one of the wildest in recent memory.

From a stunning upset of one-seed Purdue by 16-seed Fairleigh Dickinson, to a buzzer beater in the final four that sent San Deigo State to the national championship game, to the dozens of thrilling moments in between, this year’s One Shining Moment video has it all. Check it out below.

This year’s NCAA Tournament didn’t take its foot off the gas from start to finish.

Fairleigh Dickinson got things started right away by becoming only the second 16-seed in NCAA Tournament history to knock off a one-seed, stunning Purdue in an upset of historic proportions and creating a One Shining Moment for the ages.

That win was believed to be the largest point spread upset in the history of the NCAA Tournament, with Fairleigh Dickinson entering as a 23-point underdog. On top of that, 16-seeds were previously 1-150 lifetime against one-seeds.

But that was only the beginning of a truly wild NCAA Tournament and teams creating their One Shining Moment. And Purdue was not the only one-seed that would go down relatively early.

Kansas fell to Arkansas in the Round of 32, prompting Razorbacks coach Eric Musselman to take his shirt off after the game and cheer on the fans.

Alabama and Houston both fell one round later in the Sweet 16, making it the first NCAA Tournament in history that didn’t feature a single one-seed in the Elite Eight.

There were overtime thrillers, like Kansas State‘s triumph over Michigan State in the Sweet 16. And there were teams that went on ridiculous runs with hard-to-believe stats, like UConn making at least nine 3-pointers in each of its first five games in the NCAA Tournament.

All events featured in One Shining Moment.

And while the Huskies didn’t make nine 3-pointers in the NCAA title game, they did more than enough to down San Diego State 76-59, dominant from start to finish. The win resulted in the program’s fifth national title, with the Huskies proving one of the most dominant programs in college basketball over the last 25 years.
