Texarkana Texas High four-star running back Tradarian Ball has been committed to Oregon since July 27, 2024. On Thursday, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett that he’s now shut down his recruitment.

Ball is the second big-time Oregon pledge to officially lock things down, following Reidsville (N.C.) five-star tight end commit Kendre Harrison.

The5-foot-9, 170-pounder is the No. 54 overall prospect and No. 5 RB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 8 player in Texas.

“I talked to my family about it they agreed with it,” Ball told On3’s Steve Wiltfong upon making his commitment public. “I talked to my coaches and (former Oregon standout running back and Texarkana native) LaMichael James was a huge impact in this too. So I put a lot of trust in the coaches there and I’m ready to be a Duck.”

Miami was the program with the most buzz in Ball’s recruitment outside of Oregon. The blue-chip burner is ready to head to Eugene, however.

As a junior for Texas High, Ball ran for 777 yards and 14 touchdowns, according to MaxPreps. He excelled as a receiver, too, hauling in 44 catches for 1,017 yards and 11 TDs.

Oregon gunning for No. 1 class this cycle

Head coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks currently have the No. 3 class in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Eight commits currently make up the class.

Harrison headlines as the No. 16 recruit and top-ranked TE. Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene is the No. 9 prospect in the On300 and the No. 23 recruit in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Scottsdale (Ariz.) Willamette four-star defensive lineman Tony Cumberland is a top-75 recruit and the No. 6 DL in the cycle. He’s been in the class since September of 2023. Ventura (Calif.) four-star linebacker Tristan Phillips and Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie four-star safety Xavier Lherisse are the other blue-chippers committed. Eugene (Ore.) Willamette three-star DL Viliami Moala and Riverside (Calif.) St. John Bosco three-star EDGE Dutch Horisk round out the class.

The Ducks are in the mix for Nashville Christian five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, the top-ranked signal-caller in the nation, among others. Only LSU and USC currently check in ahead of Oregon in the recruiting rankings heading into April.
