Oregon CB signee Na'eem Offord ranked No. 17 in final 2025 On300 rankings
Part of arguably the best defensive secondary class in the country, Birmingham (Ala.) Parker cornerback Na’eem Offord is a five-star prospect ranked No. 17 overall in the final 2025 On300 rankings on Thursday.
The final edition of the 2025 On300 features 32 five-star prospects, up from 25 in the previous update in November.
A longtime member of Ohio State’s 2025 recruiting class, Offord originally committed to the Buckeyes in February 2024. For much of the cycle, it appeared as though he would head up a lethal two-man duo with five-star Devin Sanchez.
As Offord continued to take visits to programs around the country, the heat turned up on Ohio State down the stretch. It looked like Auburn and Oregon were the two biggest threats to the Buckeyes. Come National Signing Day, the direction of Offord’s recruitment was still up in the air. Signs were pointing toward Auburn leading up to the big day, but Oregon began to pick up steam on the morning of Dec. 4 — NSD.
On National Signing Day, Offord committed to Dan Lanning’s Oregon Ducks, flipping his commitment away from Ohio State.
“I feel like I felt the most love at Oregon,” he told reporters at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game practices. “That’s where the love has been at with the whole staff just recruiting me from the beginning.”
Offord added that he loved what Oregon had done on the field this season, but it was more than just the play that brought him to Eugene.

“Not just the football, but the coaching too,” he said. “A lot of people say there isn’t anything to down there, but I like the nature. I like to go fish and do those type of things. They have a good school; I want to go there for communications. A lot of good majors. The football program, everybody already knows about that and what they’re capable of. … I was really looking outside of football.”
Offord brings elite skillset to Eugene
Over his final two seasons at Birmingham Parker, Offord turned in nine interceptions and 60 total tackles. He was no slouch on offense, either, rushing for over 1,200 yards in his career with 27 touchdowns on the ground and another five through the air.
On3’s scouting and rankings team likens Offord to former first-round draft pick, Stephon Gilmore.
“Na’eem Offord’s functional athleticism, smooth movement skills, elite change of direction and playmaking ability on Friday nights reminds us of Stephon Gilmore. Both are similar from a size and athleticism perspective at the same stage. Gilmore played a bunch of quarterback at the high school level, while Offord is used as a defensive back and versatile offensive threat, lining up at multiple positions on that side of the ball.”
Offord participated in Under Armour All-America at the turn of the new year and put in an impressive day of practice at the week’s open.
“Na’eem Offord was the most active corner during Monday’s practice,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote. “The Oregon signee showed an excellent trigger, jumping a route and nearly picking off a pass during the 7-on-7 period. He had tight coverage when targeted and closed very quickly. There were a few occasions where Offord would’ve blown up the receiver had the practice been full contact.”
