No. 1 CB Brandon Arrington returns to Oregon for spring game visit

La Mesa (Calif.) Mount Miguel five-star cornerback Brandon Arrington continues to work through one of the most high-profile recruitments in the 2026 cycle. He’s locked in official visits this summer, but he’s also taking trips to some of his top contenders this spring.
This weekend, he made his way back up to Eugene to get another look at Oregon during the Ducks spring game. Along with getting to spend time around the Oregon coaching staff, Arrington is also getting to see some coveted Ducks alumni, including current standout NFL DB Christian Gonzalez.
Arrington has seen Oregon multiple times leading up to this weekend, but every visit continues to matter as he decides between a top six that also includes Alabama, Georgia, Penn State, Texas A&M and USC. Official visits will come next, likely along with a shortened top schools list.
“After my official visits, I am probably going to cut my list down to four schools, then commit to one,” Arrington told On3’s Chad Simmons last month. “Like this list, my commitment will come down to relationships, development and being in a place where I want to be.”
Oregon is set to close out Arrington’s official visit schedule on the weekend of June 20. Before then, he’s currently set to see Penn State (May 2), A&M (June 6), Alabama (June 13) and USC (June 17). The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently favors the Aggies.

Arrington is the No. 13 overall prospect and top-ranked corner in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in California.
To date, Oregon has seven commits in its 2026 class that ranks No. 7 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The class is headlined by five-star tight end Kendre Harrison.
Coach’s take on Brandon Arrington
When speaking with On3’s Chad Simmons last month, Mount Miguel head coach Verlain Betofe explained what makes Arrington such an outstanding prospect:
“Brandon is one of one,” Betofe said. “A lot of guys are fast. A lot of guys are tall and have length. It is rare to have a guy like Brandon, who can do it all.”
“What really makes him different is how competitive is. Brandon hates to lose. He can go out there and shut down any receiver one-on-one in the country because of his talent and that drive. The little things really separate him.”
“Brandon is olympic fast, and he is a track star too, so once he focuses fully on football, it will be scary. Brandon has never played football full time, so once he does and continues to develop, he has a chance to go down as the best to come out of San Diego and go in the first round of the NFL Draft.”
