Dominoes are falling left and right in the recruiting world, but Oregon doesn’t have to worry about losing its class jewel.

On Thursday night, Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore, the nation’s No. 4 overall prospect, told On3’s Hayes Fawcett that he’s shut down his recruitment and will sign with the Ducks on Dec. 4.

“Oregon family, let’s build something special! Recruitment officially closed,” Moore told Fawcett.

The 5-foot-11, 186-pounder committed to Oregon on July 4 after backing off a pledge to LSU earlier in his process. He chose Dan Lanning and Co. over the Tigers, Ohio State and in-state Texas. Moore visited LSU this fall, but is set to head to Eugene to play his college football.

Ducks receivers coach Junior Adams headed the charge for Moore this summer alongside Ra’Shaad Samples. Oregon offered Moore a different look at life on and off the field and it eventually won out in what was a hotly-contested recruitment.

“I love how open I can be when I’m out there. Their uniforms and their style, they’re just different. It’s unique, and it’s not really comparable to any other school I’m looking at. I just think they have great coaches in general,” Moore said of Oregon at the On3 Elite Series in May. “Coach Lanning knows how to judge people, and he is a good judge of character. And he’s really good at building relationships and getting people to trust him. I feel like that reels the great players in. And with Coach Adams, he’s just a well-rounded good coach, good mentor and a good person to be around.”

Moore has been on a tear during his senior season at Duncanville. Teaming up with Five-Star Plus+ quarterback and Alabama commit Keelon Russell, Moore has torched opposing defenses all fall long. Duncanville is 11-0 and amidst a state title run.
