Oregon flips 5-star QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele from California

Ewa Beach (Hi.) James Campbell five-star quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele has flipped his commitment from California to Oregon.
He was pledged to the Golden Bears since July 8. The Ducks offered on Sept. 26, quickly gained momentum and have now added a second QB to their 2025 class.
Sagapolutele is the No. 50 overall prospect and No. 7 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked player in Hawaii.
The 6-foot-1.5, 215-pounder saw his stock rise after performing well at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles over the summer. He was named a top performer at day one of the event by On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power and later committed to Cal at the end of the month.

He’s continued to impress on the field during his senior season and eventually landed his offer from Oregon.
Despite Dan Lanning and Co. already having a commitment in the 2025 class from San Diego Lincoln four-star QB Akili Smith Jr., they’ve now landed a second signal-caller pledge this cycle.
“Being able to get on the phone with Coach Dan Lanning, Coach Will Stein, is actually just really a blessing ’cause Oregon’s been my dream school ever since I was young,” Sagapolutele told ScoopDuck after landing the offer. “It’s just so surreal for me to see how far all my God-given talents have gotten me. Just being able to receive an offer from Oregon—it’s a very surreal moment.”
