2026 RB LaMarcus Bell commits to Oregon State
Lake Oswego (Ore.) three-star running back LaMarcus Bell has committed to Oregon State, he announced on Monday.
He chose the Beavers while also holding offers from the likes of Washington State, Cal, Boise State and BYU.
Bell is the No. 651 overall prospect and No. 52 RB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in Oregon.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder broke out as a junior for Lake Oswego. Carrying the ball 173 times, Bell rushed for 1,538 yards and 25 touchdowns, per MaxPreps. He was named the Oregon 6A Player of the Year and helped lead Oswego to a 12-1 season in 2024.
Bell becomes the second member of Oregon State’s 2026 recruiting class, joining Clovis (Calif.) three-star quarterback Deagan Rose, the No. 23 QB in the cycle. Head coach Trent Bray and his staff will look to build on a 2025 class that ranked just No. 65 in the nation — per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings — last cycle.

Oregon State signed just two in-state recruits last month
Adjusting to life as a non-power program came with some recruiting throws for the Beavers last year. Bray and Co. have done some business in the Transfer Portal this offseason and they’ve also signed 18 high school prospects to this point.
San Diego JUCO cornerback Jalil Tucker is the highest-ranked player headed to Corvallis and is one of six Golden State recruits in the fold. Houston Cy-Ranch three-star EDGE Niklas Fisher is one of five Texas prospects in the class.
Landing a commitment from Bell could see OSU build some momentum on the in-state recruiting trail this year. Last cycle saw the Beavers sign just a pair of in-state prospects: Crescent Crane Union three-star tight end Cody Siegner and West Linn three-star interior offensive lineman Jake Normoyle.
Other top signees in Oregon State’s 2025 class include: Henderson (Nev.) Green Valley three-star CB Trey Glasper, Hanford (Calif.) three-star RB Kourdey Glass, Cypress (Texas) Cy-Ranch three-star offensive tackle Maddox Conway, Plano (Texas) Prestonwood Christian three-star CB David Madison and Oakland Castlemont three-star athlete Ellijah Washington.
