More on Oregon vs. Washington
Washington hosts Oregon on Wednesday riding a losing streak that has turned the Huskies season on its head. The team has lost four straight games to fall to 13-13 on the year. With six games left, every game matters even more to having a winning record and putting itself in contention for any type of postseason basketball.
Keion Brooks Jr., the Pac-12’s second-leading scorer at 17.9 points per game, is coming off a forgettable performance against another Washington rival in Washington State. He was 4 of 16 from the field for just eight points in the 56-51 loss.
Oregon is also entering on a loss after falling to UCLA over the weekend. Guard Jermaine Couisnard led the way with 19 points and N’Faly Dante had 13 points and nine rebounds but it wasn’t enough to pull of the upset. At 15-11, Oregon is also in crunch-time mode for the remainder of the season as it looks to get its NCAA Tournament resume in order.
