DALLAS – Plenty of blue-chip prospects made their presence felt in Dallas this weekend at the Golden Ticket Tournament of OT7, Overtime’s 7-on-7 league. This event is filled with teams who have been invited to compete in this select tournament where one ultimate winner will be awarded a spot to compete in the OT7 Championship. These teams are complied of some of the most talented prospects in the 2026, 2027 and 2028 recruiting classes.

The setting allows for an up close evaluation of 2026, 2027 and 2028 wide receivers, defensive backs, linebackers, tight ends and running backs in 7-on-7 action. We’re able to get a sense for some of the physical tools, technical ability and level of development of the participants. This order is based on the performance from both days of the event.

On3 MVP: WR Messiah Hampton

The 24K offense was essentially unstoppable all weekend long and the weapon that was the constant for their offense was Messiah Hampton. At every level of the field, Hampton was dominant. He was displaying every tool in the bag for the receiver position breaking off defenders at the top of his routes, attacking the football, and most importantly he was putting the ball in the paint. Hampton scored six total touchdowns over the weekend including two in the final game to seal the deal for 24K and earned themselves OT7 Golden Ticket Tournament bragging rights.

2. ATH Jermaine Bishop Jr.

Day 1 On3 MVP Jermaine Bishop Jr. put together an incredibly strong weekend of work at the OT7 Golden Ticket Tournament and his team fell just short of the championship. Bishop had another quality outing on Day 2 collecting three touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball as well as two pss breakups and an interception that was called back for a defensive holding on the other side of the field. He has proven this weekend that he’s a true two-way football who’s dynamic in the slot on either side of the ball.

3. QB Ziondre Williams

Ziondre Williams went into this weekend a bit under the radar in comparison to some of the other arms out here at the Golden Ticket Tournament but showed up in a big way on Day 1. He then followed up that performance with another stellar showing on Day 2 but lost in the semifinals to the eventual champions, 24K. Williams threw for eight touchdowns in only two games on Sunday and did not turn the ball over a single time. He ended up with 15 touchdowns and only one interception over the weekend carrying the Texas Threat offense on his back. He displayed great arm action with a calm, cool demeanor leading the offense effectively all weekend long.

4. QB Trae Taylor (2027)

24K was the team holding the trophy at the end of the day and it was a pair of signal callers that lead the charge for them in 2027 Trae Taylor and Miami commit Dereon Coleman. Trae Taylor had a quality Day 1 performance coming in for relief but was the engine that made the offense go on Day 2. He was dropping bombs on opposing defenses even with the wind in his face for the majority of the afternoon. On Day 1 he finished the day with four touchdowns. But on Day 2, he let it rip throwing for eight touchdowns with no interceptions. He threw the knockout punch for 24K and sealed the championship with his performance.

5. QB Dereon Coleman (Miami commit)

Dereon Coleman was the other gunslinger for 24K this weekend and picked up right where he left off to start the day on Day 2. After a strong four touchdown performance on Day 1, Coleman followed it up with seven touchdowns on day 2. He and Trae Taylor were placing the football all over the field with Coleman showcasing his phenomenal natural arm talent and quick release. Coleman threw the lone interception for the pair early on Day 2 and battled back to put the final game away and score the last two touchdowns for 24K in the championship.

6. QB Noah Grubbs (Notre Dame commit)

Noah Grubbs battled on both days of competition out here at the Golden Ticket Tournament and fought all the way to the end. He carried the Gridiron Elite offense to the semifinals throwing for seven touchdowns and one interception on Day 2. They wound up falling just short to DTX even after a strong three touchdown performance where his team battled injuries and drops. Grubbs displayed quick decision making and quality ball placement at the intermediate levels of the field all weekend long and was throwing receivers open consistently.

7. WR Tristan Gunn (2027)

Tristan Gunn was Noah Grubbs favorite target this weekend. After comping up just short of the top performers list on Day 1, Gunn solidified his spot as an overall top performer by putting together another strong day catching the football on Day 2. In two days of work, Gunn scored five touchdowns and secured the most catches for the Gridiron Elite offense. He was the go-to option in the redzone and was arguably the most consistent chain mover out of any pass catcher this weekend.

8. WR Larry Miles

As previously mentioned, 24K was putting up a ton of points, so Messiah Hampton wasn’t the only pass catcher putting on a show for them this weekend. In fact, Larry Miles actually scored the most touchdown for 24K this weekend with eight scores to his name. He was a redzone monster. He has such a knack for finding the soft spot in zone and creating space. Whoever was throwing the rock for 24K, they were finding Larry Miles for six all weekend long. He’s savvy, sudden and strong at the catch point and was the most frequent visitor of the endzone of any pass catcher at OT7’s Golden Ticket Tournament.

9. QB Keisean Henderson (Houston commit)

Keisean Henderson had such a strong start to the Golden Ticket Tournament on Day 1 finishing as an On3 top performer and continued his run of success on Day 2 as well. Henderson finished the weekend with 17 total touchdowns and three interceptions but unfortunately for him and the DTX offense, they were shutout in the championship game. However, Henderson displayed quality ball placement and made some clutch throws in order to put DTX in the championship. And even though it didn’t end how he had hoped, Henderson had plenty of bright spots throughout the tournament.

10. ATH Jamier Brown (2027 Ohio State commit)

24K scored more points than any other team at the Golden Ticket Tournament so of course another pass catcher made the overall top performers list and this time it’s 2027 Ohio State commit Jamier Brown. Brown didn’t see the endzone on Day 1, but erupted on Day 2 scoring five touchdowns in three games on Sunday. He was working the middle of the field and did a ton of damage in the underneath and intermediate levels of the field. His shiftiness and ability to separate allowed him to walk in for a few touchdowns including two interceptions the championship game. He was arguably the most dynamic option for 24K this weekend.

Additional Notes

Quarterbacks – The QB play this weekend was genuinely the best I’ve seen at OT7 this season. Other QB’s that didn’t finish in the overall top performers that I felt spun the ball very well were Jayce Johnson, Jaydis Wiley and Quinn Murphy. All three of these players had terrific showings this weekend.

Offensive Playmakers – The offensive lit up the field this weekend and we had tons of guys make plays. On Day 1, it was Jamarin Simmons, Jalen Lott, Mikey Vernon, Trenton Yancey, Jayden Cration, Brian Williams, Jaylen Pile, Boobie Feaster, Antayvious Ellis, Joshua Parker and Keavon Roberts. And on Day 2 some other players that stood out were Scoop Smith, London Green, Mannie McKinney, Drew Follett, Brendyn Jackson, Julian Caldwell and Davis McCray.

Defensive Playmakers – And on the defensive side of the ball, they had a tough time this weekend, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t have some players stand out. On Day 1, that group of players was Jason Bradford, Elbert Hill, Thomas Cook Jr., Omari Russell, Dariyon Gordon, Ja’Kyri Watson, Devin Jackson, Josiah White, Taron Essex, John Meredith, Jerry Outhouse Jr. and LeBron Bauer. And on 2 Day, some other players that made an impact were Lavar Keys, Robert Gibbons, Kentrail McCrae, Danny Odem, Kamauri Whitfield, Nyheem Richardson, Jermaine Santana-Diaz and Kingston Gregory.
