Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four-star running back Ousmane Kromah will no longer commit on Saturday, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Kromah will instead announce his decision on Oct. 5.

Kromah’s four finalists are Georgia, Auburn, Florida State and Tennessee. Kromah initially announced his Sept. 28 commitment date coming off of a visit to Auburn. The Tigers, along with Florida State and Georgia, have had momentum at different times in Kromah’s recruitment. Florida, Miami and Tennessee have all also been involved with the top-100 running back.

“I’m not going to be 100% sure until that day, but I’m pretty sure I know where I’m going,” Kromah told On3 on Wednesday prior to delaying his commitment.

This summer, Kromah took official visits to his four finalists plus Miami. He has continued to take visits since then — including trips to Auburn and Georgia since the season started.

“Auburn is building its own legacy,” Kromah said following a recent visit to Auburn. “Like Nick Saban did at Alabama and Kirby Smart has done at Georgia, coach Freeze is building something with top recruits at Auburn. I had a good time on my visit and it is always tough there.”

He visited the in-state Bulldogs on Sept. 7.

“Georgia is high up there for me. They have coach Crawford, they play freshmen and they get the best guys on the field.”

While Florida State was at one time the frontrunner in this recruitment, the waters are a bit muddier now. However, the Seminoles’ rough start to the season has had no impact on Kromah’s thought process.

“Everyone loses or has bad seasons, so how Florida State has played early means nothing to me. That doesn’t mean Florida State will play that way when I get there if I choose them. It is still Florida State for me.”
