Patrick Mahomes responds to viral Dylan Raiola lookalike photo: 'That's my lil cuzzo'
Patrick Mahomes quickly caught wind of the viral Dylan Raiola photo of the Nebraska quarterback arriving to camp.
Well, he looked exactly like Mahomes based on the outfit, glasses and hairdo. It’s uncanny actually.
Maybe at this point, Mahomes will take the five-star freshman under his wing!
How good is Raiola already? Nebrasksa head coach Matt Rhule basically cried tears of happiness. He’s not quite Mahomes yet though.
The freshman took the field and saw the defense line up at practice. Right away, he saw it was a blitz and called it out to his teammates – and it left Rhule speechless.
“We get out to the first practice and he comes out, and we’re sliding to the field and there’s a will free safety blitz and he’s like, ‘Hey, flipper flipper.’ … I had a tear running down my eye,” Rhule said on SiriusXM College during Big Ten Media Days.
“The next day, the other freshman quarterback who’s elitely talented, Danny Kaelin, and brilliant. He comes out and he does it. Then, all of a sudden, it starts taking off.”

Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl champion, likely already made grown men cry. Despite his talent, he doesn’t feel he’s underpaid amid new contracts being handed out this offseason.
But Mahomes is playing league statesman, at least in interviews when reporters ask him about the money.
“It’s awesome for the game of football,” Mahomes told USA TODAY Sports, days after Jordan Love signed his deal.
“It’s awesome for the quarterback position,” says the Chiefs quarterback. “But I think all positions. I know every time a contract comes up, everybody looks at my APY (average per year) and everything like that. I’m doing pretty well myself. For me, it’s just about going out there trying to win football games, trying to make money for my family at the end of the day. I feel like I’m doing a great job of that.”
Now, don’t think Mahomes is poor by any stretch. He’s doing just fine for wife Brittany, their two kids and one on the way. Back in 2020, the Chiefs signed Mahomes to a 10-year, $450 million contract.
