Myles Hinton Talks Michigan Football Moving On From Texas, Moore

Paul Finebaum didn’t hold back when it came to Michigan’s loss to Texas in Week 2. Now at 1-1, the Wolverines have to rebound after an “inexcusable performance.”

It seems like Finebaum and fellow ESPN college football analyst Heather Dinich want to hit the panic button on Michigan. You knew the schedule was going to be tough, but after the performance against the Longhorns, the slate looks all the more daunting.

Heck, Finebaum even got another Jim Harbaugh dig in there when talking about Michigan.

“Absolutely no patience. All panic here,” Finebaum said on Get Up. “That was just an inexcusable performance. I realized they were playing Texas, which is a very, very good team, if not a great team. But you’re at home, you’re the reigning national champion, show up at least. I mean, Texas beat them up and down the field on both sides of the line. Truly embarrassing. I’m sure somewhere Jim Harbaugh was saying, ‘Hey, I made a pretty good decision to get out of here.’”

Dinich didn’t hold back either. When it comes to Michigan’s playoff resume down the line, the committee won’t look too kindly on a handful of losses.

Plus, she revealed an alarming stat.

“Panic Greeny,” Dinich said. “A four loss team has never been ranked in the selection committee’s top 12 in the history of ever, in the CFP. This is a Michigan team that might lose four or five games. They’ve got Washington, Oregon, Ohio State, you already lost to Texas, they might lose to USC. Again, you’ve got to play better, be sound up front, on both sides of the ball.

“This is the team that couldn’t make a stop on third down. Couldn’t get a third down (conversion). They’ve got to look the part, and they’ve got to really turn it around against some good competition.”

Despite this conversation, Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore said his team isn’t too far from Texas’ level.

“I think it can be just a blip,” Moore, who is in his first year as full-time head coach, said. “Guys are hurt, guys are stung, guys don’t feel happy, guys aren’t smiling and laughing. But now it’s our job to uplift them and and bring them back to the light of, ‘Hey, this happened. Now we got to see the mistakes, we got to fix the mistakes, we got attack the mistakes, and we got to get better from it.’ We can’t let this game beat us again.”
