Penn State expected to hire Virginia's Marques Hagans as wide receivers coach
Penn State is expected to hire Virginia’s Marques Hagans as wide receivers coach, sources tell On3.
Hagans, a former Virginia QB and wide receiver who played five seasons in the NFL, has coached nine of the top 15 wide receivers in career receptions in Virginia history.
Hagans has also produced six of the top seven wide receivers in Cavaliers history in single-season receptions and four of the top six in single-season receiving yardage. That includes 2021 first-team All-ACC selection Dontayvion Wicks, who accumulated a school-record 1,203 receiving yards that year.

Hagans had been on staff at Virginia since 2011, beginning as a graduate assistant before spending the last 10 seasons as the team’s wide receivers coach.
At Penn State, Hagans will be the replacement for Taylor Stubblefield, who was the Nittany Lions’ wide receivers coach the last three years. Penn State and Stubblefield parted ways last week.
