PFF ranks college football's Top 10 offensive tackle candidates for the 2023 NFL Draft
Four offensive tackles went in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, led by former Alabama standout Evan Neal. PFF argued this coming year might not be as successful at the position, but some impressive talents could wind up going in the 2023 NFL Draft.
PFF’s Michael Renner recently released his top 10 offensive tackle candidates for the 2023 draft, led by Northwestern standout Peter Skoronski. He came in as a projected first-round pick in ESPN analyst Matt Miller’s first 2023 mock draft earlier this week and is poised to play a big role for the Wildcats this year as a junior.
Two potential College Football Playoff contenders this year — Ohio State and Georgia — also have names on Renner’s list. Broderick Jones is coming back for the Bulldogs, fresh off a national championship last year, and Paris Johnson Jr. is expected to be a huge part of the Buckeyes offensive line protecting CJ Stroud.

Only two players from Renner’s list were also on Miller’s mock draft. He projected Skoronski to go as the No. 12 overall pick and Johnson to go No. 22 overall. Even though Jones comes in at No. 2 on PFF’s list, he didn’t make the cut for Miller’s way-too-early first round. If that holds true, the position could be in for a down year, just as Renner projected in his rankings.
Here’s where each of PFF’s Top 10 offensive tackles came in as the 2022 college football season comes around the corner.
