The PFF Top 25 has been shaken up ahead of Week 11. A wild Saturday last weekend is the culprit, as some of the perceived best teams in the country were slain.

First, Michigan State couldn’t carry their momentum from their win over Michigan into the next week. After being ranked No. 3 in the initial College Football Playoff rankings, Purdue made them pay.

Additionally, Alabama and Cincinnati narrowly avoided upsets at the hands of LSU and Tulsa. While the Crimson Tide may get some slack from the committee, the Bearcats must start pulling away from lesser competition.

We’re entering the meat and potatoes of an exciting season. Here’s where PFF believes the Top 25 stand ahead of Week 11.

PFF Top 25:

1) Georgia Bulldogs

2) Alabama Crimson Tide

3) Ohio State Buckeyes

4) Oklahoma Sooners

5) Cincinnati Bearcats

6) Michigan Wolverines

7) Notre Dame Fighting Irish

8) Texas A&M Aggies

9) Oregon Ducks

10) Ole Miss Rebels

11) Wake Forest Demon Deacons

12) Michigan State Spartans

13) Oklahoma State Cowboys

14) Houston Cougars

15) BYU Cougars

16) NC State Wolfpack

17) Auburn Tigers

18) Coastal Carolina Chanticleers

19) Baylor Bears

20) Wisconsin Badgers

21) Purdue Boilermakers

22) UTSA Roadrunners

23) Iowa Hawkeyes

24) Nevada Wolfpack

25) SMU Mustangs

Biggest Movers

Auburn Tigers (+5). The Tigers were defeated by Texas A&M on Saturday, but they still managed to move up five spots in PFF’s rankings. It may have more to do with the results around them than their showing, as Bryan Harsin’s squad put up just three points.

Oklahoma State Cowboys (+4). The Cowboys defense took care of business, shutting down West Virginia on Saturday. Looking ahead, Oklahoma State will attempt to defeat an upset-hungry TCU squad.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish (+4). Don’t count Notre Dame out of the College Football Playoff yet. Moreover, the Fighting Irish keep takings care of business — defeating Navy in a blowout last Saturday.

SMU Mustangs (-9). After once boasting an undefeated record, things are falling apart for SMU. The Mustangs have now lost two consecutive games, the latest a three-point defeat at the hands of Memphis.

Baylor Bears (-5). It was a heartbreaking loss for the Bears on Saturday. Looking ahead to a gigantic matchup with Oklahoma, Baylor dropped a tough game against TCU — tumbling down the PFF rankings.

Michigan State Spartans (-5). After being named No. 3 in the first College Football Playoff rankings, the Spartans fell to Purdue. However, they still control their own destiny — win out, and you’re in for Michigan State.
